Maui County Department of Agriculture
Community Impact Working Group
This push to propose a Maui County Department of Agriculture is not an idea born overnight, this is a compilation of years of studies, field work and thousands of individuals across the island in the State and County trying to shine a light on the perils within our state and local agricultural systems. These are just some of the studies that were examined before proposing this initiative.
We wish that we could cite every conversation, workshop and meeting that has been had, and all of the individuals who have been a part of making this effort possible, but that is just not possible because there are so many wonderful individuals doing amazing work. Thank you to all of the community members and advocates for agriculture in Hawaii, we appreciate all of the hard work our community has done to show that agriculture in Maui County is worth fighting for.
